How to Download YouTube Shorts
YouTube Shorts are quick vertical videos, but there is no built-in save button. This guide shows how to download a YouTube Short as an MP4 (or MP3 for the audio), for free, on any device.
Step by step
- Copy the Short's link. Tap Share → Copy link under the Short, or copy the /shorts/ URL from your browser.
- Paste it on the home page and tap Download.
- Pick a format. Choose MP4 (up to 1080p) for the video, or MP3 for the audio only.
- Save the file to your Downloads, Files or Photos.
Is there a watermark?
No. Unlike TikTok, YouTube does not burn a username into the video, so the MP4 is clean.
